- She was born Destiny Hope Cyrus, on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, United States, to Leticia ‘Tish’ Jean Finley and Billy Ray Cyrus, the country singer. She born with an abnormally fast heart rhythm, a condition called ‘supraventricular tachycardia.’
- In 2008, she changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus, by adding the shortened form of her nickname ‘Smiley,’ and the middle name of her grandfather’s‘Ronald ‘Ray’ Cyrus.’
- Cyrus has a younger brother Braison and a younger sister Noah. She also has step-siblings, Brandi and Trace and Christopher Cody, from her father’s relation with Kristin Luckey.
