9 Foods That Are Good For Reflux Esophagitis

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is when the contents of the stomach reflux into the esophagus, causing various problems such as heartburn, acid reflux, and damage to the esophageal mucosa due to reflux. Repeated exposure of the esophageal mucosa to gastric acid may cause reflux esophagitis, esophageal ulcer, esophageal stricture, etc. Along with treatment, efforts to improve eating habits are also required. So, let’s look at foods that can help prevent reflux esophagitis

1) Banana
Bananas are alkaline foods and are good for gastroesophageal reflux disease. As an alkaline food, it is said to be good because it acts as a natural antacid that neutralizes stomach acid. In particular, it is said that it is recommended to eat a banana with a blackened skin rather than an unripe banana.

2) Cabbage
Cabbage is famous as a good food for the stomach. Vitamin U contained in cabbage protects and regenerates and strengthens the gastrointestinal mucosa, helps smooth metabolism and helps the regeneration of wounded mucous membranes, and vitamin K has a hemostatic effect that prevents bleeding from gastrointestinal wounds. In addition, the rich fiber acts like a natural digestive agent, helping food to be digested quickly without reflux. However, it is recommended to eat raw cabbage as much as possible as nutrients are lost when cooked.

3) Chinese Yam
It is famous for good food for stomach. The reason is that the sticky ‘mucin’ component of hemp coats and protects the stomach wall and suppresses the excessive secretion of gastric acid. Therefore, it helps relieve heartburn caused by excess stomach acid, and is said to be effective in promoting digestion and preventing gastritis. 6) Ginger tea
Ginger is generally thought to be spicy and irritating, but when consumed in moderation, it is rather good for gastroesophageal reflux disease. Ginger has the effect of absorbing stomach acid, which relieves heartburn caused by acid reflux. It can be eaten by adding it to dishes, or brewing ginger tea and drinking it habitually can help relieve symptoms. I also sometimes have reflux esophagitis, so I should try drinking ginger tea.

7) Oats
Oats also have the property of absorbing gastric acid, which is said to be effective in suppressing acid reflux. It is said that it is good to cook rice with oats, and it is good to eat cereals made from oats (oatmeal, oatmeal). 8) Aloe

9) Egg White
